Final Stats

CLEVELAND, OH (October 3, 2009) - The Case Western Reserve University volleyball team (13-2, 1-0 UAA) won its opening match of the first University Athletic Association (UAA) Round Robin Tournament, 3-2, over the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York Saturday night.

After dropping the first game 26-24, the Spartans rallied to win three of the next four.  They face Brandeis University and Washington University on Sunday.

Sophomore middle hitter Tricia McCutchan (Hamilton, OH) had a match-high 17 kills while senior libero Andrea Lamont (Huntington Beach, CA-pictured) added  a match-high 34 digs.  Senior setter Ashley Gan (Kettering, OH) led Case Western Reserve in assists with 27.
