CLEVELAND, OH (September 25 2009) - The Case Western Reserve University volleyball team won its seventh consecutive match and improved to 12-2 on the year with a 3-1 victory (23-25, 26-24, 35-20, 26-24) at John Carroll University tonight.

The Spartans travel to the University of Rochester October 3-4 for the first University Athletic Association (UAA) Round Robin.

Sophomore outside hitter Rachael Suchy (Venetia, PA-pictured) had 19 kills and four blocks to lead Case Western Reserve. Sophomore middle hitter Tricia McCutchan (Hamilton, OH) added 15 kills and six blocks and freshman setter Rachel Gulasey (Cleveland, OH) had a team-high 15 digs and three aces.
