CLEVELAND, OH (September 16, 2009) -
The Case Western Reserve University volleyball team improved to 7-2 last night with a 3-0 (25-18, 25-16, 25-13) victory over Baldwin Wallace College at the Veale Center. It was the Spartans second win over BW in five days as they defeated the Yellow Jackets 3-1 Saturday at the College of Wooster.
Sophomore middle hitter Tricia McCutchan (Hamilton, OH) and freshman outside hitter Alexandria Drake (Phoenix, AZ) tied for a team-high in kills with 11 each. It was McCutchan's third consecutive double figure performance. Senior libero Andrea Lamont and freshman setter Rachel Gulasey (Cleveland, OH) had 18 and 16 digs, respectively. Sophomore hitter Rachael Suchy (Venetia, PA) added nine kills.
The Spartans will travel the Carnegie Mellon University Crossover this weekend (Sept. 18-19). They open-up with John Carroll University on Friday at 2:00 p.m.
