Homer holds a bachelor's degree from Cleveland State University with a
major in theater arts, and has studied scenic design at the University
of Akron. As a native Clevelander, he has worked seasonal, part-time and
freelance jobs throughout northeast Ohio. For the past three summers, Homer
held the position of Production Manager at Cain
Park Summer Theatre and was the technical director there for the previous
five years. He also held the position of technical director at Cleveland
State University, Berea High School, and the University of Akron School
of Music.
As a theatrical technician and designer, he has worked with many
professional, community and educational venues in the northeastern
Ohio area, such as The
Cleveland Play House, The
Cleveland Opera, the Great
Lakes Theater Festival, Vincent
Lighting Company, Berea
Summer Theatre, and Baldwin Wallace College. With his wife
Annee and daughter Heather, they created a production company called
Farr Out Productions, which handles their freelance work. Their
productions have included work at Cleveland
Signstage Theater, Baldwin Wallace College, the University
of Akron, Hathaway Brown School,
the Working Theatre, and a project with WKNR, a local radio station.
Homer is very excited to work with the students and faculty at
Case's Department of Theater Arts and its collaboration with The
Cleveland Play House. |
