Professor Borski has taught in the three major areas of design for the theater;
scenic, lighting, and costumes. He has designed and directed regionally over
the past twenty-five years from Anchorage Opera to Portland Stage to Dallas
Theater Center to the North Carolina Shakespeare Festival. Originally from
Chicago, Professor Borski is the receipient of seven Joseph Jefferson Awards
for Excellence in Design, as well as an Addie Award in Art Direction and is
a former Glennan Fellow at CWRU. He has been the resident designer at Cain
Park since 1989 and an associate director at Dobama Theater for the past two
years.
Locally, Professor Borski has created productions at the Cleveland
Play House, Great Lakes Theater Festival, Porthouse, Ensemble Theater,
Karamu Theater, Lyric Opera of Cleveland, Moving Spaces, Playhouse Square
Foundation, The Ohio Ballet, Dancing Wheels, and the Baldwin-Wallace
Conservatory. He had designed for commercial television, industrials,
music videos, and film, but finds his heart in the world of live theater.
