We invite you to come to campus Nov. 13-15 and explore life as a Theater
major at Case! You will stay in a university dorm with a Theater major,
see a production in our department, as well as a show at the Cleveland
Play House, and also have a chance to apply for a scholarship. The only
cost of this weekend to you is your travel to get here. It is a very
full weekend and one that has been extremely popular in prior years.

SPRING AUDITIONS
Auditions for the Eldred Theater spring semester 2010 productions of The Last Night of Ballyhoo and Othello will occur November 16 and 17, 2009, from 5.30-7.30 pm in Eldred Theater. FACULTY POSITION SEARCH
The Department of Theater and Dance at Case Western Reserve University, one of the nation’s major research universities, invites applications for a position of Assistant Professor of Theater in the area of Theater History/Theater Criticism. This is a tenure-track appointment beginning 2010-2011 Academic Year.
Teaching responsibilities include a freshman SAGES Theater seminar and upper level courses in Theater History, Dramatic Literature and Criticism. Teaching opportunities exist for additional courses in the candidate's areas of interest. Candidates will typically conduct independent study seminars, mentor and advise student dramaturgs, and advise honors thesis projects. Candidates should sustain a creative, scholarly agenda, and be committed to teaching undergraduates, including non-majors, in a collaborative, highly competitive, and intimate liberal arts environment. Summer teaching is also a possibility.
Qualifications: Completed Ph.D. required, with three years of teaching experience at the university/college level, significant scholarship in the area of theatre history/criticism, and ability to work in an undergraduate (BA) program.
