Physics: Single-Field AYA Teacher Licensure
Overview of the Program:
Degrees in these programs are awarded by Case Western Reserve University and licensure is obtained through John Carroll University.
Students majoring in Physics who wish to teach physics, but not chemistry, at the high school level may choose to obtain licensure in AYA Physics, rather than AYA Physical Science (Dual-Field: Chemistry and Physics.) Students who wish to choose this option pursue the B.A. program in Physics. This alternative, which requires 70 hours in the content area (subject area), entails fewer requirements in chemistry than the Dual-Field option, and additional required hours in physics. Professional education requirements are the same as those for students seeking Physical Science Dual-Field licensure.
