THINK Forum: Immersion Journalism
As a Pulitzer Prize-winning newspaper reporter, Jim Sheeler immersed himself in the lives of people whose stories were often overlooked. Now, as the Shirley Wormser Professor in Journalism and Media Writing, he is teaching his students to do the same. During a multimedia presentation, Sheeler showcased his students’ work, including their profiles of senior citizens in Cleveland’s Hough neighborhood, and shared some of the secrets to finding stories in the shadows.
Keeping in Touch with Alumni and Friends
We believe that contact with the English Department’s alumni and friends can connect us to our long history and traditions, mutually enrich our lives and programs in the present, and build a more dynamic future for Case Western Reserve University's Department of English. This site is dedicated to informing alumni and friends of upcoming departmental events.
