Portuguese Course Descriptions:
PORT 101 is an introductory course. Students master the sound system and basic sentence structures of spoken and written Portuguese. They also learn about cultural aspects of Portuguese speaking countries.
PORT 102 is a continuation of PORT 101, emphasizing conversational skills. The grammar is more complex, more verb tenses are learned, and the reading and writing assignments are more challenging.
