At Case since 1992, I teach Chinese at the elementary, intermediate and advanced levels. Altogether I have taught both Chinese and English for 19 years. I also have had 11 years' experience of working as an editor and announcer.

My teaching philosophy is: language should be taught as a tool of socializing among people. Language is something alive, changing, full of vitality. Therefore, language class should be life-oriented, lively and full of fun.

I also believe, language teaching should never be separated from cultural background. Cultural studies within language teaching benefit students greatly in developing a broad view of the world.

While teaching in the past years, I have translated from English into Chinese more than 30 scholarly and popular articles published in Chinese journals. I have also contributed to three standard Chinese language reference books.

I am a native speaker from Mainland China. I earned a Master's degree in Sociology from CSU and a Master's degree in Political Science from Case.
