Office: Guilford 107 Yoram Daon is a native born Israeli, who earned a B.S. in Finance from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a M.B.A. from Keller Graduate School of Management. At Case, Yoram lectures in Hebrew, and is a member of the Judaic Studies Advisory Committee. He is an advisor to the Theta Upsilon chapter of Alpha Phi Omega, a co-ed national community service fraternity. Yoram was nominated for the 2006 Carl F. Wittke Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching. He was also nominated for a Dorothy M. Pijan Student Leadership Award as Outstanding Student Organization Advisor (2006). Yoram is the co-author of English for Science & Technology – a language course of study for engineering, science and technology college students (Kavim Publishers, Be’er–Sheva, Israel, 2002). He has also designed and led workshops and innovative seminars and has written papers and manuals on a wide variety of subjects. He has edited dual-language (Hebrew and English) educational material, and has translated articles and technical material (English/Hebrew – Hebrew/English). Yoram was an Associate Professor of English for Science and Technology and an Associate Professor of Industrial Administration at Sapir Negev Academic College in Israel for three years. In addition, he taught an English as a Foreign Language extension course at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. Yoram is an experienced business consultant who specialized in marketing policy, management strategies, contract negotiations and feasibility analyses. His prior experience includes senior management positions in non-profit, commercial and industrial firms in Israel, as well as management positions in the United States. He is a retired Captain of Police (Israel), and a veteran of the Israel Defense Force. Yoram is a seasoned and active community volunteer who has led fund raising activities and has served on the board of directors of several non-profit philanthropic organizations: Lions International District 128 Arad Chapter, Israel; Israel Cancer Association Arad Chapter; The Arad Emergency Trauma Center. He was also active in a volunteer Desert Search and Rescue unit, which operated in the Judean Desert and in the Dead Sea area. Yoram has founded, managed and trained a competitive swimming team and is an international swimming official. He’s partial to Boxer dogs, and has trained and competed with several of his pedigrees.
