Florin Berindeanu received his MA in Literary Theory and Italian Literature in 1985 at the University of Bucharest where he taught as Assistant Professor of Literary Theory between 1990-1992. He did postgraduate studies at the Universita' degli Studi di Urbino between 1991-1992. He was Fulbright scholar at the University of California at Irvine in 1992-1993. He received his Ph.D. in Comparative Literature at the University of Georgia in 2000 where he taught Comparative Literature and Italian language.
