This proposal is aimed at elucidating the function of MSCs-derived pericytes and their function in blood vessel maturation and stability in the establishment and progression of distant metastasis from breast cancer and melanoma. By disrupting PDGF-B cell signaling in pericytes,
the role of blood vessels stability is determined in both extravasation of cancer cells into target organs and the angiogenesis-dependent metastasis progression.
