Friday, September 7, 2007 12:30 p.m., Severance Hall
Acclaimed writer Taylor Branch will speak about his authoritative trilogy on the life of Martin Luther King Jr. and the civil rights movement when he delivers the third annual Anisfield-Wolf/SAGES Lecture. The event will take place at 12:30 p.m., Friday, September 7, in Severance Hall. Branch is this year's Anisfield-Wolf Book Award honoree for lifetime achievement in writing about race and race relations.
The Anisfield-Wolf/SAGES Lecture was created primarily with SAGES students in mind, and we recommend that students read selected works by or about Taylor Branch in preparation for this event. High school students also may benefit from the readings and attending the free public lecture.
