#1 New York Times Best-Selling Author to Speak at Alumni Weekend
Beyond the Printed Page with Richard North Patterson (LAW '71)

Alumnus Richard North Patterson's newest novel, The Devil's Light, is technically a work of fiction. But this deeply-researched, thrilling story depicts the world of espionage and the potential for nuclear terrorism in a style that former CIA field officer and author Robert Baer described as "impossible to dismiss as mere fiction."

Patterson spent more than two years researching the storyline for The Devil's Light, which focuses on an Al Qaeda plot to steal a nuclear bomb from Pakistan. On Friday, October 14 at 1:30 p.m., Patterson will talk about the book in a keynote conversation titled The Most Dangerous Place on Earth. This special event, held at the Inamori Center for Ethics and Excellence in Crawford Hall, includes a Q&A session and book signing. You won't want to miss it!
