The WRHS History Center houses the History Museum, the Crawford Auto Aviation Collection, the Chisholm Halle Costume & Textile Wing, the Bingham-Hanna Mansion, and the Hay-McKinney Mansion. Admission allows access to all regular collections and exhibitions.
The museum includes the Hay-McKinney mansion built in 1911 and designed by the son of President James Garfield. Visitors tour expansive parlors and living areas featuring every amenity available at the turn of the century. The Chisholm Halle Costume Wing has more than 30,000 articles of clothing and accessories from the 1790s to the present. The Society offers special rotating exhibitions that focus on various aspects of Northeast Ohio’s history.
