  2. A new biomaterials faculty, Dr. Ravi Bellamkonda recently recruited by the Biomedical Engineering Department at CWRU, joined the CCB faculty in September 1995.

  3. During 1994-95, $1.1 million in state-of-the art equipment was purchased as a result of an award from the Ohio Board of Regents.

  4. Outstanding students were recruited in 1994 as part of a graduate training program supported by the Whitaker Foundation.

  5. Additionally, a small undergraduate summer research program was continued for a second successful year.

  6. Three biomaterials students were successful in their applications for 5-year Predoctoral Whitaker Foundation and/or NSF Fellowships.

  7. Dr. Christopher Siedlecki received the 1994 student award from the Society for Biomaterials annual meeting held in Boston.

  8. Roger Marchant has been named Program Chair for the 1997 Annual Meeting of the Society for Biomaterials.
