Graduate Fellowships and Scholarships

There are several sources of scholarship and fellowship awards if you are interested in the Center for Cardiovascular Biomaterials (or Biomedical Engineering).

Several merit based scholarships are available at the national level:

1. The Whitaker Foundation is a private, nonprofit foundation dedicated to improving human health through the support of biomedical engineering. Each year nearly 30 predoctoral fellowships are given out to encourage the best and brightest minds to follow a career in biomedical engineering. The competition is fierce but the rewards are great. 2. The Ford Foundation and the Howard Hughes foundation also give grants to Biomedical Engineering students.
